Concrete burial / memorial stone

This piece was created as a memorial to artist Ruth Rolland. Ruth was considered was a highly involved female participant in the abstract expressionist movement.

With paintings bought by numerous top collectors, Ruth was also a highly talented sculptor and was commissioned to created a bronze bust of Artist LS Lowery which unfortunately was stolen in 2002 :  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2314859.stm

I worked with Ruth’s family to create a tomb stone that was reflective of her character, life and beautiful art that she gave the world  - the family tell me the piece shows her lust for life and creative nature to a tea.

Urban art

I love seeing my artwork in everyday locations. The inspiration for the art is based on the balance between man made and natural elements, so its only appropriate that the work should be exhibited in those environments.
